An Advisory Group, comprising of key stakeholders, was established at the commencement of the project to ensure that we were consulting widely on all aspects of the project and to avoid any potential duplication.
This group meets termly in Carmarthenshire and the first meeting of the group was held on January 13th, following the launch of the project at the Haliwell Centre, Carmarthen. Our next scheduled meeting is to be held on 29th September 2010.
The role of the group is to:
- Support consultation with strategic Carmarthenshire stakeholders in developing the Play Learn and Grow Healthy Project
- Take account of and/or receive/feedback of their views in particular regarding physical activity, nutrition, play and research
- Provide guidance/advice to the project
- Encourage synergy between The Play Learn and Grow Healthy Project and other Carmarthenshire initiatives where appropriate
